Michael W. Waters: Stay Schemien’: P. Diddy, Justin Combs, and the Media’s Curious Portrayal of Black Achievement.

 

If Ozzie Osbourne’s kids got scholarships for school, would the same uproar be made, or would they be praised for their scholastic achievement in spite of their strange upbringing involving their parents gettin’ paid?  Both parents are making dough, but one set of parents is white, the other black.  As the writer of this article said,

No one has the right to deny this young man of his achievement or this father of his pride in that achievement.”

 

We as Americans in the media and otherwise need to take a look in the mirror and see past race; we need to stop making judgments!  P. Diddy’s son has every right to that scholarship, because he earned it.
