Open Institute of Baltimore grants help serve underprivileged – Baltimore Sun.

Inspired by the story of formerly incarcerated man who went on to earn two degrees, a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Coppin State University, this positive story talks about foundations that are helping formerly incarcerated men skills that they will need as far as education and others once they re-enter the world outside of the jail walls.  Included in this piece was the fact that Bailey, the aforementioned man is starting an educational program with a $60,000 grant from Open Society Institute of Baltimore.  Stories such as these make a difference amd teach us to see people as human beings, not just as numbers in a cell or statistics either.  I invite you to comment on the article and share your thoughts on the story!
