Chris Herlinger: George McGovern And The Social Gospel Movement To End Hunger.

This interesting article by Chris Herlinger of the Huffington Post speaks about a little spoken of today former presidential candidate George McGovern who ran against President Nixon and passed away on Sunday.  The article praises him for his work in the war against hunger.  It outlines the legacy he left behind after having held positions such as Ambassador to the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization during the Clinton administration and others.  It also gives details of a book that he wrote.

What do you think of George McGovern’s story after having read the article?  Also, what ways do you think you would like to, or if you do already, what ways do you fight to end hunger?  We should work to make a positive impact on the world, and we can do this through entertainment as well!  What ways do you see entertainers giving back or what ways can you see where they should?
